As a result of our continuous growth following the successful securing of the Hexham Straight Widening project, we are on the lookout for a Site Engineer (Structure) to become a valued member of our project team and contribute significantly to this major infrastructure upgrade in the Hunter region. Joining this project means being a part of a significant development. The Pacific Highway upgrade near Newcastle is a sizable project involving widening each carriageway from 2 lanes to 3, along with the construction of two new 5-span plank bridges over Ironbark Creek, close to the Hunter River.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and coordinate minor construction schedules/work programs, monitor productivity, and oversee general project planning
  • Monitor, review, and carry out daily cost control tasks to optimize project targets
  • Collaborate closely with senior engineers and Supervisors to manage on-site subcontractors and service suppliers
  • Provide on-site technical support, ensure high-quality construction activities, and maintain compliance with relevant specifications
  • Identify associated risks and ensure adherence to HSEQ objectives to promote a culture of exemplary safety

Key Skills:

Besides possessing relevant engineering tertiary qualifications, a track record in delivering major TfNSW infrastructure projects is essential. A dynamic and confident communication style, coupled with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams, is crucial for success. Your dedication to delivering project sections/tasks with high quality, on time, within budget, and safely is paramount.

Priority will be given to candidates with:

  • Knowledge of RMS/TfNSW Road specifications
  • Experience working in Tier 1 or Tier 2 or principal contractor environments
