The Company:
Stellar Recruitment partners with a major player in the international market and one of the leading FMCG manufacturers and exporters in Australia. They are also pioneers in renewable energy and sustainable bioethanol production.

Overseeing the entire process from harvest to packaging, this company has achieved great success by promoting innovation and continuous improvement. Currently, they are looking for their next Operations Manager to lead one of their mill operations in North Queensland due to an internal promotion.

The Role:
As the Operations Manager, you will directly report to the Group Manager and will be responsible for the efficient operation of the large mill. Your role will involve managing a diverse team of tradespeople, engineers, safety personnel, and administrators. This position is ideal for someone with a background in Engineering within the manufacturing sector. We are seeking a proactive individual who is a hands-on leader and continuously strives for growth to enhance efficiency, relationships, quality, and safety on-site.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Driving manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • People management tasks such as recruitment, training, and coaching.
  • Overseeing production, timelines, quality control, and budgets.
  • Promoting a culture of health and safety within the organization.
  • Playing an active role in the introduction of new product solutions.
The Essential Skills:
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in the sugar industry is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated success as an Operations Manager in a manufacturing setting.
  • Comprehensive product lifecycle experience is highly desirable.
  • An excellent communicator and a lead-by-example individual.
  • Strong multitasking skills, adept at conflict resolution, and a proven track record of completing tasks.
