We're looking for a General Manager of Australia and New Zealand to join Snap Inc


Sydney operates as a central piece of Snap's APAC operations, with the largest APAC sales presence and a sizable Engineering presence.

Our ANZ community continues to grow and now reaches more than 6 million users monthly across ANZ, 70% of whom use the app on a daily basis.

Snap's operation in ANZ serves this highly engaged community through strategic relationships with content publishers, tech and telco companies, alongside a growing and vibrant creator ecosystem.


On the advertising side, the ANZ team delivers industry-leading creative campaigns for the world's biggest global brands and ANZ's fastest-growing businesses.

We aspire to play an active and positive role within ANZ society, both as a contributor to the local economy and in the lives of the Snapchat community.


As the Head of Australia and New Zealand, the General Manager is the representative for Snap externally within the ANZ business, policy, media and tech community as well as internally advocating for the ANZ team on a global and regional level.

You will lead and develop a local leadership team with members representing all functions of the company with the goal of making relevant local decisions for the good of the ANZ business.


As General Manager, you will also create and drive Snapchat's vision for the business in ANZ and build an effective strategy to drive long term growth.


We are looking for a dynamic and visionary leader who can manage complexity, communicate effectively and attract and build high performing teams - driving a hyper-growth strategy and a diverse and inclusive team for Snap in ANZ.


What you'll do:

  • Responsible for leading a local crossfunctional management team that is focused on local decision making to drive success for the ANZ Team
  • Creating and driving Snap's short, medium and longterm vision and strategic priorities in ANZ in partnership with Snap's local, regional and global leadership
  • Build and create a strong culture at Snap in ANZ based on the foundations of Snap's core values (Kind, Smart and Creative)
  • Owner of the advertising revenue for the ANZ market as well as developing relationships with Global Clevel advertising executives based in the region
  • Ensure the implementation of sales strategies to maximize sales as well as profitability in addition to owning and being accountable for quarterly + yearly revenue goals, pipeline management and growth goals across a diversified book of business
  • Become a trusted advisor to Snap's senior advertising partners to increase the organization's ability to drive business results
  • Proactively shape and develop Product offerings to be relevant to the ANZ market and drive impact
  • Build and nurture a high performing, diverse team through hiring outstanding talent, establishing a dynamic organization and driving a team development agenda across all layers of the local business with diversity and inclusion at the heart of the people strategy
  • Communicate effectively internally across all teams locally, regionally and globally to drive crossfunctional alignment on goals, priorities and a shared understanding of market insights and dynamics
  • Successfully navigate and establish solid relationships across Snap's global matrix organization across all functions including, Product, Marketing, Communications, HR, Finance etc. Some of these relationships will be dotted line, however the GM must develop an ANZ strategy and align teams to successfully execute
  • Represent Snapchat externally across multiple audiences (partners, advertisers, agencies, media, government to name a few) with an ability to build strong relationships with Clevel execs as well as being Snap's spokesperson across ANZ for media, events and thought leadership initiatives
  • Drive forward Snap's corporate social responsibility and reputation in ANZ partnering with notforprofit organisations to further the company's goals and make a positive contribution to the community
  • Build relationships with public policy makers, representing Snap's interests and championing our focus on privacy and wellbeing.
  • Serve as a thought leader in the advertising industry to drive vertical and client success leveraging Snap's product and technology developments
