About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Patient Billing Officer to join our growing team.
If you are passionate about providing exceptional patient service and can ensure smooth patient communication with empathy, clarity and efficiency, we would love to have you as part of our team.
Reporting to the Patient Finance Manager and working across our Box Hill and Clayton sites, the Patient Billing Officer role exists to:- Work within a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide a positive experience for patients
- Deliver clear, concise, and empathetic communication and customer service to all stakeholders
- Provide patients with detailed information regarding treatment costs and payment methods
- Ensure patient invoicing and receipting occurs in a timely manner
- Process bulk billed and health fund claims through Eclipse
- Manage patient documents and enquiries
- Assist with answering the incoming finance phone calls
- Communicating with Medicare and private health funds
- Manage debt collection in accordance with company policy
- Resolve and manage billing queries in a timely manner
- Participate in continuous improvement of processes
About you
Ideally you will bring
- Previous experience in IVF or Healthcare
- Understanding of Medicare and private health billing through Eclipse
- Medical Wizard software experience desired
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Proficient computer literacy skills
