The Infrastructure Services Division is looking for a proven leader to manage a small team, working closely with key stakeholders across the division, the department and other Government agencies, in monitoring and reporting performance of Department of Education's (DoE) Infrastructure Investment Portfolio.

The Governance team guides the implementation of infrastructure management and assurance frameworks. It strives for continual improvement through setting and maintaining the appropriate governance, benefits and risk frameworks.

Key stakeholders include the Executive Management Team and ISD Staff; other Branches within DoE and with partnering agencies across Queensland Government.

About You

Within the scope of the duties, the ideal applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated ability and experience in identifying and analysing problems, and then exercising initiative and responsibility to develop and implement solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain productive working relationships with team members, stakeholders and clients including the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal, negotiation and consultation skills, in order to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal clients in order to meet expectations and improve service delivery.
Your Role
As the Manager you will have responsibility for (but not limited to) the following:

  • Develop, implement, and administer program frameworks, including guidelines and procedures, to support the strategic direction and delivery of priority infrastructure programs.
  • Formulate innovate and workable strategies, and make recommendations, to mitigate risks and issues associated with program development and delivery.
  • Lead and manage governance practices and processes that support effective grants management.
  • Provide highlevel advice for the Minister's Office, Deputy Director-General & Assistant Director-General, Branch management and senior executives, Regional Directors and Principals on a broad range of programrelated matters.
  • Develop, maintain and foster effective networks, and regularly liaise with stakeholder groups across various agencies and governance groups to support the achievement of the program objectives.
  • Oversee and prepare programrelated guidelines and reports, executive correspondence, briefs and materials complex in nature.
