The SME Commercial Analyst is responsible for generating and delivering analysis, insights and reporting to support the development of short and long-term strategies and projects across the dynamic SME sales team.


Bringing together data from a wide range of revenue and operational sources, this role will use their proven commercial acumen to generate insights, build models and support the development of business cases, projects and commercial initiatives across the portfolio.

The Analyst will also design, develop, generate and automate both new and existing reporting from a complex array of sources and stakeholders to generate insights and monitor the revenue performance of key performance indicators for both the business and the sales team.

The Analyst will build dashboards that enable real time access to key performance and revenue data, as well as being responsible for ensuring that all items are monitored and tracked effectively to ensure success.


The Analyst will have highly developed negotiation, communication, organisational and influencing skills at senior levels to drive the best operational and commercial outcomes for the business based on data driven insights.


To be successful, the Analyst will be highly analytical, have the ability to think critically to solve problems by sourcing required reports, draw commercial insights from data, be skilled in Excel and other business intelligence tools, be meticulous, curious, collaborative and have a passion for continuous business improvement.


You'll have:

  • Prior experience in a commercial role or strategic role.
  • Proven ability to manipulate complex arrays of data to generate sound commercial recommendations.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to present and negotiate your position.
  • Experience successfully navigating ambiguity to generate outcomes.
  • The ability to thrive in a team environment and collaborate across different departments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with focus on collaboration, cooperation and communication.
  • Exceptional time management skills, with proven ability to juggle conflicting priorities.
  • High level of initiative and ability to direct and manage own work.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Demonstrated decision making ability and able to evaluate impact of change at a detailed level.
