The Commercial Analyst is responsible for developing operational and customer insights, analysis and reporting for the Corporate and SME team sales teams to support the development of short- and long-term strategies within Sales & Distribution.

The Commercial Analyst will design, develop, generate and automate a suite of reports from a complex array of sources and stakeholders to generate insights and monitor the ongoing operational performance of key performance indicators for both the business

and the sales team.

The Commercial Analyst will have highly developed negotiation, communication, organisational and influencing skills at senior levels to drive the best operational and commercial outcomes for the business based on data driven insights.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in a similar or related function
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business, technology or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse data from a variety of data sources (both internal and external)
  • Demonstrated ability to provide reporting (both in written and verbal from) identifying key performance indicators and insights
  • Demonstrated ability to use identified performance drivers and insights to make recommendations around potential actions / outcomes to drive improved operational and commercial performance
  • Ability to manipulate Excel, Power BI and Qlik Sense data visualisation tool to dynamically create ad hoc reporting
  • Experience in managing varying stakeholder needs and expectations.
  • Commercial acumen to translate analysis into business recommendations
  • Ability to deal with multiple issues and conflicting deadlines under pressure, with the ability to correctly assess priorities to achieve optimal outcomes for all key stakeholders.
