Our client is seeking a motivated and proactive
Purchasing Officer to join their dedicated team.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is a diverse and pivotal role in maintaining and streamlining the company's purchasing/procurement process.

Duties:
- Identify suppliers that offer the best product, service and quality
- Create, organise, and send all purchase orders.
- Manage all suppliers (payments, orders, etc.) & build strong relationships
- Liaise with the factory regarding material requisitions and deliveries
- Obtain a thorough understanding of stock and anticipate future orders.
- Update all purchase Orders for receipts (delivery dockets, material receipts, delivery changes and back orders)
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and update monthly budgets.
Skills and Experience:
- Have at least 2 years' experience in a purchasing capacity, ideally in a manufacturing / building industry _(Fresh graduates are welcome to apply)_
- Have a good understanding of the manufacturing / building industry or any similar industry.
- A real desire to learn and grow within the role
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, multitask and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel) and other webbased technologies
- Ability to work unsupervised.
