Technology Infrastructure Project Manager
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion.

This is a senior role at an organisation and requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously.

Overall Purpose of Role
The role of the Technology Infrastructure Project Manager focuses on completing a project as efficiently and promptly as possible including:

  • Leading project planning sessions
  • Coordinating staff and internal resources
  • Managing project progress and adapt work as required
  • Ensuring projects meet deadlines
  • Managing project financials
  • Managing relationships with clients, vendors and stakeholders
  • Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Participating in tender process i.e. design, submission and review if applicable
  • Designing risk mitigation plan
  • Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff
  • Optimising and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
  • Managing large and diverse teams

Experience Required

  • Project Management qualifications mandatory (Prince2, PMBOK, PMP, AIPM, CPPP)
  • Five or more years experience of Technology Infrastructure Project Management within complex organisations (Tier 1 or 2)
  • Experience in construction or upgrade of Communications Rooms, Data Centres or other relevant infrastructure
  • Experience in network switch upgrades and deployments
  • Experience in deployment of VMWare Tanzu Kubernetes Grid platform, Windows Server, and SQL clusters
  • Experience in managing software development vendors for High level Controls systems
  • Experience in managing significant budgets in the range of $2040 million

Reporting

  • Report on the initiative progress within program of work against delivery, quality, cost and time commitments
  • Implement, monitor and report on project activities including milestone delivery, resource allocation, issue management, risk management and mitigation
  • Consolidating the teams initiatives and reporting progress to key stakeholders
Additionally, Project Managers should possess high levels of the below skills to perform well in the role:

  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise work and run multiple projects simultaneously while working autonomously or collaboratively
  • Leadership skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills
  • A quality control mindset
  • Experience in any of the following industries is an advantage:
  • Aviation
  • Baggage handling systems
  • Automation


 Industrial control systems
  • High Level Controls, or Low Level Controls
  • SCADA
  • Sortation
  • Warehousing, logistics, or supply chain fulfillment
