Due to significant contract awards within our ANZ Water business, we are expanding our Water Infrastructure Team in South East Queensland (SEQ), these awards bring a secure 10 year pipeline of work, with AECOM's flexibility you can base yourself in any of our offices in the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast or Brisbane.


The Water Infrastructure group provides services to a range of internal and external clients on projects covering water and wastewater treatment, dams, asset management, major conveyance, industrial, civil infrastructure, mining, and defence sectors, with a key focus on supporting sustainable outcomes for our clients and the communities they serve.

What will a day in this role look like:

  • You will provide technical guidance to the team, mentoring junior engineers and designers, contributing to the growth of our talent pipeline.
  • Play a key role in technical practise leadership.
  • You will have the opportunity to get involved in managing and completing projects from inception, including involvement in the bidding phase, concept design, detailed design, tendering, and construction phase support.
  • Ensure all quality assurance processes are followed, delivering on time and within budget for projects in planning, design and/or construction support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships working with various clients across a range of sectors.

Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications & RPEQ / CPEng
  • Ideally, 15 + years relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in water and/or wastewater projects including civil water networks, hydraulic/pump selection, transient analysis, buried structural pipe calculations, thrust block design.
  • Knowledge of applicable Australian codes and standards.
  • Passion for delivering high quality work & excellent Client and stakeholder engagement skills.
