Reporting to the National HSE Operations Manager - Southern region, this role will be based in Coolaroo, Victoria.You will play a key role in developing and driving the safety and health culture for our sites of Queensland, providing expertise in the management of business risk, engaging and coaching managers, supervisors and employees in fostering a high performance HSE culture.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Develop and execute HSE training programs to ensure all employees are adequately trained in safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate controls to mitigate risks.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine the root cause and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and promote the organization's HSE initiatives.
- Engage people at all levels in the business, coaching and challenging behaviours to achieve a high level of performance and consistent and appropriate HSE behaviours.
- Developing of existing Corporate HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
What you will bring to the team:
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS/OHS, environmental science or equivalent.
- Significant experience in an Environment or Occupational Health and Safety or related role in the manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of HSE management system, hazard & risk management, HSE audits, incident investigation, management of change, HSE training, crisis & emergency management protocols & ISO Standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
- Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
