Our Corporate Office is located at Thomas Embling Hospital just 15 minutes north of the city.

?Due to our announced expansion across all Directorates, we have a need for experienced like-minded professionals to join our team to support our growing services.

Our Directorates includes Thomas Embling Hospital, Prison Operations and our Community Directorate with highly skilled disciplines including Nursing, Lived Experience, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatry, Psychologists and Social Work.

We have an outstanding L&D and discipline Educator co-hort that continually upskill our already skilled and supportive team.

About the Role:


The Health Information Officer will provide administrative support to the Health Information Manager and clinical staff to ensure the efficient management of patient information across health information services.


Duties:

  • Ensure efficient collation and maintenance of patient information and documents according to organisational guidelines.
  • Ensure patient data is entered correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Undertake routine data validation checks to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Receive and process all requests for patient information in accordance with organisational guidelines, policies and procedures; and within the expected time frame.
  • Assist with Health Information audits.

About You:

  • Highly developed administrative skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fastpaced team environment with the ability to identify areas for improvement.
  • Welldeveloped computer skills including MS Office and experience with electronic medical records systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to relate sensitively and professionally with patients.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Previous experience working within a health care setting is highly desirable.
  • Relevant Certificate IV or higher qualification is highly desirable.
