About the role


As the Technical Services Officer you will be responsible for providing broad-ranging support to users utilising a range of media (including the infrastructure environment and software) to troubleshoot and resolve issues across the organisations' ICT environment.

As a Technical Services Officer, you will be required to:

  • Provide tier 1 service desk support and technical tier 2 desktop and infrastructure support to users across the Office of Sport
  • Utilise appropriate tools and methods to address user support queries and return user's ICT systems and networks to optimum efficiency
  • Manage setup activities for ICT devices and systems and monitor their performance to limit or prevent loss of service to end users
  • Create and maintain support documentation to assist others in restoring services and reduce the impact of unplanned outages
  • Assist project teams to complete tasks and delivery aspects project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved
  • Adhere to information security policies and procedures including security surrounding hardware and software as well as necessary technical documentation
  • Performing site visits to Office of Sport sites and offices when required.

Essential requirements

  • Experience in Microsoft Windows operating systems, Active Directory. Azure AD and various Microsoft Office 365 products.
  • Experience in configuring, installing and supporting telephony technologies and software in a networked environment
  • ITIL certification at least to Foundation level (ideally v3 and above)
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • A National Criminal Records Check (NCRC) clearance
