The Opportunity

We are looking for a Mine Planning Engineer to join our Underground Mining team at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine.

Reporting to the Underground Mine Planning Superintendent, this role involves delivering mine plans and schedules efficiently and safely, following industry best practices. This position offers an 8/6 FIFO roster, directly from Perth or Kalgoorlie to the site.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Champion safety as a visible and active leader
  • Deliver high-quality mine designs and plans, ensuring safety and well-being considerations
  • Support planning horizons and initiatives to enhance underground operations
  • Participate in coordinating capital projects and new technology implementations
  • Support operational execution of mine plans

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or related field
  • Prior underground experience with exposure to drill and blast operations
  • Proficiency in mining software applications, Deswik experience preferred
  • Proactive work ethic, strong analytical skills, and ability to work in a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid work rights in Australia
