This is a senior client-facing role. You will build and maintain high-quality relationships with key clients in our target markets. You will play a key role in building our team's capability and culture. A significant amount of your time will be spent leading consulting/advisory assignments for clients.

You will excel in your role as a key contributor and leader in multi-disciplinary advisory teams.

Your deep knowledge and experience in portfolio, program and project management will be critical to the success of our work for clients.

Specific role responsibilities are set out below.

Job Description:

  • Being a key contributor and leader in exciting and challenging commissions that improve the way an organisation develops its capital strategy, assesses and allocates capital, and sets up its major programs and projects for success.
  • Being an active and empathetic leader of integrated advisory teams, taking ownership of commissions from start to finish, and directing and coaching our consulting staff.
  • Providing bestpractice advice and handson help to our clients in relation to establishing, transforming, operating and optimising major programs and projects.
  • Deploying a variety of consulting techniques to improve performance across the capital and project lifecycle.
  • Leading the definition and development of tools and techniques that support our service delivery.
  • Making a material contribution to business development and practice development.
  • Creating a collaborative and supportive team environment

Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in providing valueadding advice and handson help to clients in the infrastructure sector or natural resources sectors, especially in the areas of establishment and operation of major capital projects and programs.
  • Excellent people management skills including team creation and management, work planning and delegation, performance assessment and coaching.
  • Excellent client engagement and senior stakeholder management skills.
  • A thorough understanding of business improvement approaches and frameworks (for example: business process definition, systems thinking, data analysis, change management).
  • 6 to 8 years' experience in a similar consulting role OR
7 to 9 years' experience in a relevant role in the infrastructure, natural resources or construction sectors.

  • Bachelor degree or other recognised professional qualification in one of the following fields: management consulting, business management, engineering, construction, procurement, contract management, project management, project controls or information technology.
  • Experience in one or more of the following sectors: rail, aviation, power & utilities, renewables or defence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
