Role and Responsibilities
- **Permanent Full Time Role**-
Located at HMAS Albatross, Nowra

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Microsoft Active Directory administration tasks, including user/group management, account creation, security permissions and group policies
  • Analysis of system and security event logs
  • Assist IT Security Manager (ITSM) to maintain and improve security posture as per the strategic security plan developed by IT Security Manager.
  • Security incident reporting and analysis
  • Perform security risk assessments based on Defence Risk Management Framework

Skills and Experience that you have:

Required

  • 35 years of network administration, or system administration experience
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, network devices, and protocols
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Information Security Manual (ISM), Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)

Desirable

  • System hardening experience
  • Working knowledge of corporate Antivirus products (Symantec Endpoint Protection, Trend Micro, Windows Defender etc.)
  • Certification in server administration (Windows or Linux)

Note:

_as the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
