We are looking for a pharmaceutical laboratory professional with strong leadership experience to join our client's growing operations

Our client is based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, and they specialise in pharmaceutical product development and manufacturing, with a focus on a wide range of healthcare solutions.


The Laboratory Team Leader will be responsible for a group of analytical chemists that have a wide range of experience levels, ensuring that the day to day operations of the lab are carried out with accordance to cGMP, TGA, FDA, NATA, ISO, and general best practice standards.


Who will you be working with?

  • A global pharmaceutical company with an established product portfolio and new/emerging drug products at various stages of development
  • Products include a variety of liquid and solid dosage tablets and capsules and transdermal drug delivery technology

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the laboratory
  • Staff training and performance management
  • Ensuring that all activities are being carried out according to regulations and standards
  • Oversee laboratory integrity, method development and validation activities
  • Assist with composing, updating, reviewing and approving test methods, protocols and reports
  • Maintaining stock levels and ordering laboratory consumables and equipment

We are looking for someone with:

  • Tertiary qualification in science
  • Proven experience working in an analytical laboratory within pharma manufacturing
  • Proven experience leading a team of lab analysts
  • Strong understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and manufacturing process standards
  • Selfstarter and strong work ethic, ability and passion to motivate a team of people, takes pride in quality of work
