The role:


As Payroll Team Leader you will oversee the delivery of an accurate and timely payroll and human resources administrative service to Council in accordance with relevant industrial instruments and Council protocols and procedures.


To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Experience processing end to end payroll
  • Experience overseeing payroll functions, including end to end payroll processing, PAYG Tax, superannuation, termination processing, data entry, electronic system maintenance and end of period, month and year reporting
  • Experience interpreting awards, agreements, contracts of employment and employment legislation
  • High level computer skills including payroll software, Microsoft Excel and Word with the ability to produce and interpret reports
  • Welldeveloped dataentry skills with the ability to enter data accurately and promptly.

About you:

You will have the ability to work both independently and supervised and as an effective team member.

You will have an eye for detail with a strong commitment to administrative tasks that are repetitious and deadline driven.

Your interpersonal and communication skills will be well developed and you will have the ability to be assertive when required.

Although not required, it would be beneficial to hold a relevant qualification in Payroll Administration or Payroll Management. It would also be beneficial to have experience using the TechOne Payroll/HRIS System, Promapp and/or TRIM Document Management.

We offer:

  • Permanent full time, 35 hours per week
  • Annual Salary from $66,862.22 to $79, depending on qualifications, skills and experience)
  • Access to Council's Indoor Accrued Time Protocol, allowing up to two days of flex leave each month
