GMC Onsite is a family-owned business servicing the Gippsland and surrounding areas for heavy diesel mechanic services, GPS tracking and asset recovery management.

Due to organisational growth, we are currently seeking a trade qualified and experienced Diesel
Mechanic to join our busy team.


The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment and be client-driven, organised, energetic and proactive.

Your knowledge and experience in the truck transport and/or agricultural industry will be highly regarded.

The main duties of the role are:

  • Workshop and field servicing / repairs
  • Diagnosing faults
  • Attend breakdowns
  • Maintenance, repairs and servicing various fleet heavy vehicles, agricultural machinery repairs and servicing, plant and equipment.

To be successful in the role, you will possess the following:

  • Trade qualifications as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
  • Previous experience in truck transport/agricultural industry
  • Attention to OH&S workplace practice
  • Strong eye for detail
  • Effective communication skills
  • Customer service focused
  • Ability to delegate and prioritise
  • Drivers Licence
  • Have experience in diagnosis, installation and repair of airconditioning on all vehicles, trucks and heavy machinery
  • Available to work overtime when required
