Operating Company Representative (OCR)

Resourceful Recruitment are partnering is looking for a highly skilled Operating Company Representative (OCR) to join their team in Chinchilla, Australia.

As the OCR, you will play a critical role in managing and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of operations at the wellsite, in full compliance with local legislation and policies.


Role Responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Environment

  • Act as the Front-Line Barrier Manager (FLBM) and Site Safety Manager (SSM) for the designated rig or worksite.
  • Take charge as the On-Scene Controller for rig or worksite Emergency Response.
  • Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and manage changes effectively to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Queensland regulatory requirements, HSSE & SP Control Framework, and Wells Manuals.
  • Promote health, welfare, and social performance policies to create safe, healthy, and inclusive work environments.

Operations

  • Communicate and disseminate business objectives to the execution team and thirdparty contractors.
  • Quality Assure and Quality Control (QA/QC) overall operations, including equipment, procedures, and reporting.
  • Coordinate all execution parties and resources to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
  • Lead a continuous improvement culture, capturing and disseminating learnings across the team.
  • Support contract management and review job tickets for contracted services.
  • Manage and operate the rig and associated equipment within prescribed guidelines.

Leadership and People

  • Lead by example, champion the Company's values, and provide clear direction in daytoday operational activities.
  • Build team spirit and morale, respecting diversity and fostering inclusive behavior.
  • Develop the site team and coach individuals to enhance their performance.
  • Ensure contractor personnel have the necessary experience and competence.
  • Ensure a full team is in place to deliver all phases of the operation.
  • Ensure timely arrival and departure of all company and contractor personnel.

Key Challenges:

  • Managing road transport risk due to extensive operations; focus on journey management to mitigate risks.
  • Continuous improvement in drilling, completion, and workover processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with the local communities and adhering to landaccess requirements.

Experience & Qualifications Required:

  • Sufficient drilling/workover/intervention experience at a supervisory level.
  • Wells RII Certificate for staff and SATP completion if applicable.
  • Strong leadership skills and integrity, with excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage and resolve operational problems and align with business objectives.
  • Working knowledge of well engineering software packages or equivalent.
  • Experience in CSG drilling, workover, or abandonment operations.
  • Coaching experience of junior staff is preferred.
  • IWCF Supervisory Level mandatory, Drilling or Well Interventions Pressure Control as required based on operations.

Continuous shift roster, Even Time Roster as required.
