The role


Reporting to the APAC Medical Affairs Director, with a dotted line to the ANZ Medical Advisor, you will be a core member of the ANZ Medical Care Division brand team and part of the Global Pierre Fabre Medical and Patient Centricity Department.

Your objective is to implement the strategic medical affairs plan across ANZ, to provide medical and scientific support to internal stakeholders cross-functionally, and to collect and bring back relevant insights from the therapeutic areas in which we operate.


This is a national field-based role which will require frequent travel.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify external scientific and medical expertise, needs/requests and determine HCPs interest in participating in PF medical activity related to the local medical strategy
  • Develop and sustain longterm scientific interactions with relevant Key External Experts (KEE) guided by the therapeutic area strategy and patient need.
  • Exchange complex and highquality uptodate scientific and medical information with HCPs, in line with compliance guidelines.
  • Organise and lead meetings (e.g. PeertoPeer meetings) with KEE.
  • Share HCPs insights with internal stakeholders.
  • Field link for clinical and Real-World Evidence (RWE) studies, access programs, supporting needs of both HCPs and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide feedback on ongoing studies and access programs.
  • Liaise with HCPs regarding unsolicited requests for Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS).
  • Collaborate in the development of the National/Regional Medical Plan and implement regional key tactics
  • Deliver medical and scientific training to any relevant internal stakeholder (e.g. sales force)
  • Participate as a Medical Reviewer in Promotional & Non-Promotional Material Review
  • Provide any scientific and medical ad hoc support to PF Corporate Medical & Patient/Consumer division (e.g. Patient Centricity).

What we are looking for

  • Advanced degree in life sciences (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, MS) and/or prior experience as an MSL
  • Knowledge of clinical medicine, disease management, and medical research in at least one therapeutic area, oncology preferred
  • Understanding of statistical methods and clinical process
  • Preferably familiar with local healthpolitical laws and regulations, including the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct
  • English: fluent level
  • Preferably experience of interacting with HCPs on a peertopeer basis
  • Preferably with life sciences/pharmaceutical industry experience in a matrix organisation
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to create and sustain credible relationships with HCPs
  • Ability to understand HCPs' needs and to convey emergent scientific information
  • Ability to work in a matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders, and in particular with Commercial, Marketing and Medical Affairs teams and with other infield personnel
  • Ability to communicate formally and informally with both clinical/scientific and administrative stakeholders in treatment centres and other healthcare organisations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to give lectures and training on medical science topics to groups of varying sizes
  • Understanding of the hospital environment and healthcare system, as well as an understanding of clinical processes (e.g. trial design, study implementation)
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to design and moderate medical meetings to facilitate peertopeer discussions
  • Ability to produce and deliver high quality PowerPoint presentations
  • Have high ethical standards and recognised personal integrity and indepth understanding of the applicable ethics and compliance industry standards
  • Willing to travel with overnight stays
