Axess is expanding the organization with new Senior Crane Engineers roles available on full time or casual basis.

This is an offshore position, with occasional work in the office in Perth.

This role of Senior Crane Engineer is the pathway to become the Cranes and Lifting Department Manager, if you aspire.

We refer to this as "Passion in life – Passion at work"The work will comprise Leading teams of mechanics, riggers and rope access NDT technicians in offshore campaigns related to crane maintenance, and complex lifting operations.

Troubleshooting cranes (mostly diesel/hydraulic, electric sometimes).
Carrying out periodic inspections of offshore cranes and lifting equipment.
Providing on-the-job training other junior technicians/engineers and ensure they work safely.
Interface with suppliers and Crane OEMs, quoting and purchasing spare parts.
Taking ownership of projects, from proposals through to project delivery.
Participation in site visits, HAZID and client meetings.
You will report to the Operations Manager.

Mechanical engineering degree or Mechanical Trade certification with 5-10 years of relevant experience Hands-on experience in crane maintenance scopes such as wire rope, hydraulic/electrical troubleshooting, diesel engine maintenance, wire rope Experience in crane inspections in accordance with API RP 2 D, and knowledge of Class Society guidelines for offshore cranes inspections.

Experience in MRT / EMAG inspections of wire ropes is a plus.
Having Australian Advanced rigging HR licence and IRATA certication is a plus.
