Our team is growing and we are currently seeking people to join us in the position of Orderly at Flinders Medical Centre, employed on a Casual basis.

The Position:

  • Cleaners provide services to all departments, wards and public areas
  • Safe handling of chemical and/or hazardous substances in the performance of cleaning duties
  • Identifying and recording any problems relating to cleaning services and/or safety
  • Decontamination of surfaces after the initial clinical waste spillage has been removed by clinical staff
  • Must be physically fit / able to walk long distances
  • Able to do heavy lifting
  • Servicing disposal rooms/bins & dirty linen removal Minimum Criteria:
    • You must be able to work within a 24/7 rotating roster
    • Previous experience in a similar role within a health care facility is highly desirable
    • Must hold a valid Working with Children Card
    • Must be willing to obtain a National Police Check
    • Comply with South Australia Health Services Vaccination policy
    • Demonstrate a positive attitude and drive to deliver strong customer service
    • Genuine interest in working with can caring for people
