About the role


This position is responsible for providing self-managed cleansing services that ensures Parramatta's Public domain are maintained and improved to enhance the appearance of the city and to promote Parramatta as Australia's next great city.


Duties will include:

  • Undertaking a variety of tasks required for the successful completion of the functions of the Cleansing Services Team to ensure the longterm management, condition and usability of assets and facilities under the care of the team.
  • Operate a variety of plant including garbage compactors.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and undertake other tasks as directed, to assist other teams and operational areas, particularly in wet weather or other emergencies to meet community needs.

2x Permanent Part-Time Positions

Hours:
Saturday & Sunday 3.00am-1.30pm

About You

Qualifications:

  • Hold a current NSW Driver's License (Class MR/HR)
  • Hold a current TCR Traffic Control ticket, or the ability and willingness to obtain.
  • Possession of a construction industry certificate "White Card"
  • Asbestos Awareness

Skills:

  • The physical capacity to undertake the role's required tasks.

What's on offer:

We are offering a salary range of $61,736.51 to $67,983.28 plus 11% Superannuation (Pro Rata).


Position may attract shift penalties in addition to the ordinary hourly rate of pay for the actual time worked in accordance with the Local Government Award 2023.
