About the RoleThe Endpoint Engineering team assists companies by supporting their environments day to day and recommending best practises to follow and implement.

The team designs, builds, supports, and continuously improves end user solutions end to end, enabling our customers to transform their business and modernise their end user experience.

You will problem-solve technical issues for customers to show how these products can make businesses more productive, collaborative, and innovative.

As a Modern Workplace Engineer you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Customers endpoint systems with minimal direction and engage in project work when they arise.

You will have a key focus on ensuring an exceptional customer experience to Datacom's endpoint customer base.

We place a high degree of focus on developing our staff internally and offer financial incentives for engineers that certify in the technologies we use to support our customers.

This role is open in all our Datacom offices in Australia (Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney).

Please note to be successful in this role you would need to be an AU Citizen with baseline clearanceWhat you will doAs a Modern Workplace Engineer, you will be responsible, but not limited to:
Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager including SCCM and IntuneStrong technical knowledge of Active Directory
  • Group Policy ManagementStrong Scripting ability (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch)Experience with Windows 10 task sequencing and end point configurationExperience with facilitating large and enterprise scale software deploymentsMaintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of environment wide configurations including user policies, device policies, security policies, firmware, drivers, and automation scripts through enterprise grade endpoint management platforms (Intune/SCCM)2 years' experience in Citrix Image Management mandatoryEnsure outstanding levels of customer satisfaction by demonstrating timely, professional, and attentive responses to customers and colleaguesOperate in, and contribute to the winning culture of a high performing teamIdentify service improvements, efficiencies and/or cost reductions for Datacom customersFollow best practice methodologies and adhere to recognised ITIL processes (e.
g., change/release).Perform upgrades on applicable hardware and operating systems as required/requestedProvide maintenance and enhancements of deployed desktop operating system images (physical and virtual)Assist with projects as requiredMinimum of 3+ years' experience in SOE migrations, projects, and implementationProvide continuous high-quality upkeep of supporting documentation such as Designs, As-Builts, How-tos, environment reporting, risk registers, tickets, and roadmap lifecyclesWhat you will bringYou will have 5 years' IT industry experience, preferably within an IT managed service provider, with approximately 3 years' experience in a similar Modern Workplace Engineer role. You will possess exceptional knowledge of Windows 10, 11. Along with good working knowledge of networking and TCP/IP, AD, DHP, DNS, certificate services and Enterprise applications. You will have exceptional skills in endpoint management platforms, System Centre Configuration Manager, Intune, and Virtual Desktops).

You will bring exceptional troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and prioritisation skills; and will be comfortable and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

You will be comfortable with rapid change and be available to travel to Datacom, customer sites and conferences when required.
