The Role


We are currently looking for energetic and passionate Support Worker to join our Accommodation Services team to work in Maitland and surrounded suburbs on permanent basis.


As a Support Worker, you will work collaboratively within the team to support and provide service to participants in line with the values of the organisation.


Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Helping participants explore their interests and hobbies through range of programs and recreational activities.
  • Transporting participants to events and appointments.
  • Admin duties such as completing progress notes, charts and incidental reports.
  • Providing personal care including toileting, showering, dressing and feeding as required.

Essential Requirements of the role:

This position involves supporting participants with a complex mental health diagnosis.

The successful applicant would have demonstrated work experience in:

  • Challenging Behaviours
  • Restrictive Practices
  • Behaviour Management
  • Mental Health
  • Medication Administration

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in working with people with complex, high support needs
  • Full availability for a 24/7 roster & Right to work in Australia
  • Willingness to assist with personal care
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence (minimum P2)
  • Satisfactory background check, including NDIS Worker Check and/or Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Covid19 Vaccination Certificate (3 doses)
  • Certificate III in Disability Services (desirable)
  • Intermediate computer and digital technology skills
  • Have personal mobile device that meets our system requirements (i.e. for Apple iPhone 7 or later; for Android devices released in the last three years)

Please note:

This role is on a 24/7 roster, so you will need full availability for days, afternoons, nights, sleepovers and weekends with the potential to work across multiple sites.

Further, travel may be required to attend different shifts
