As a Fitter at SLH Group, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of workshop equipment.

You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure that our clients receive the highest standard of service.

This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair workshop equipment such as lifts, compressors, and alignment machines.
  • Diagnose faults and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Interpret technical drawings and manuals to understand equipment specifications.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide effective solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role.
  • Relevant trade qualifications in fitting, machining, or mechanical engineering.
  • Strong mechanical and technical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Excellent problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the automotive or industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Forklift license.
