The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a 3rd or 4th year Apprentice - Mechanical Fitter & Turner.

This is a great opportunity to gain more exposure to robotics and automation projects as well as metal roll forming, welding and other manufacturing equipment.


Responsibilities
You will be servicing manufacturing equipment at the factory facility whilst identifying process improvement opportunities.

The role will require you to:

  • Complete study requirements to finish your apprenticeship
  • Inspect and maintain equipment regularly to ensure optimum production
  • Assist with machine setup processes
  • Complete mechanical/electrical preventative maintenance
  • Resolve equipment faults/breakdowns in a timely manner
  • Continuous improvement activities to optimise production capacity
  • Manage allocated assets including spare parts and tools
  • Promote and follow health and safety processes throughout the facility
  • Must be flexible to work day and some afternoon shifts if required
  • This role may require some overtime

Key Skills and Experience

_To quality you must be a 3rd or 4th year Apprentice - Mechanical Fitter & Turner part way through an apprenticeship with the following attributes: - _
Motivated and willing to learn, with a genuine interest and passion for all things mechanical

  • A good communicator with a positive attitude, and willingness to tackle anything that comes your way
  • An Australian citizen or a permanent resident of Australia with full working rights
