CSIRO Early Research Career (CERC) Postdoctoral Fellowships provide opportunities to scientists and engineers who have completed their doctorate and have less than three years of relevant postdoctoral work experience.
The Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling team in CSIRO Mineral Resources develops and applies multiphase CFD models to a range of multiphase mineral processing, energy, and metal production unit operations with the aim of improving process efficiency and developing new processes.
Your duties will include:
- Developing novel multiphase computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models of equipment used in the minerals and related process industries and carry out simulations using these models.
- Carrying out innovative, impactful research of strategic importance to CSIRO that will, where possible, lead to novel and important scientific outcomes.
- Carrying out research investigations requiring originality, creativity and innovation.

AU$92k - AU$101k plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be considered you will need:
- A doctorate (or will shortly satisfy the requirements of a PhD) in a relevant discipline area, such as Mechanical, Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering
Please note:
To be eligible for this role you must have no more than 3 years (or full-time equivalent) of postdoctoral research experience.
- Practical and conceptual knowledge and skills in multiphase CFD modelling techniques and model development.
