About the role:
- The ACIC is committed to creating an operating environment that protects its people information and other assets from harm. By ensuring that protective security is a part of the Agency's culture, and managing security risks proportionately and effectively, the Agency enables the confident and secure conduct of its business.
Role requirements:
- Advanced Analytics Information Technology Platform (AAITP). This platform will deliver federated search tool capability that searches across selected onpremise datasets.
Undertaking an assessment of any risks and vulnerabilities associated with the implementation of the AAITP system within the ACIC standard operating environment including:
Security Design of the AAITP
Assessment of the effectiveness of the controls in scope
Assessment of the resultant risk of ineffective controls
Provision of recommendations to provide additional control effectiveness
Developing a core security document set for approval by the ACIC Unified Communications (UC).
The Unified Communications (UC) project will uplift voice and video services across the ACIC to transform communication infrastructure to deliver a new platform that will support seamless integration with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 with call/contact centre services and examinations rooms.
The roles and responsibilities for the UC involve:
Security Design for the UC project work packages o Assessment of the ISM controls in scope
Assessment of the residual risks associated with ineffective and partially effective controls
Provision of recommendations to provide additional control effectiveness and mitigation plan
Developing a core security document set for approval by the ACIC.
The data collected and/or managed for both parties is classified up to PROTECTED level.
At a minimum, the ICT Security Documentation Writers will need to:
Understand the project landscape and operating environment Identify and assess security risk(s), threat(s), and produce appropriate certification and accreditation documentation that is fit for purpose.
Qualifications & experience:
- Relevant technical qualifications and certifications related to ICT Security.
Knowledge of Information Security frameworks and standards including ISO 27001, NIST & ACSC Essential 8.
Strong analytical skills and ability to assess and manage vulnerabilities.
Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with Australian Government's Information Security Manual (ISM) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
Understanding of cyber security incidents and response measures.
Experience in developing and implementing security measures in ICT projects.
Ability to oversee information security audits and provide recommendations.
Familiarity with technology architecture and upgrades.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Additional essential criteria:
- Must hold a minimum AGSVA Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance
