Join our creative and collaborative team in local government as a Digital Content Producer As a pivotal member of our team, you'll be responsible for creating engaging and captivating digital content.

Bring your creativity and technical skills to the table and help us connect with our community through compelling visuals, videos, and written content.

What you'll be doing:

  • Plan, film, edit and evaluate highquality video and multimedia content for use on Council's internal and external channels, to promote Council services, programs, campaigns, events, and initiatives.
  • Ensure that content is factual, appropriate, consistent and in line with the priorities of Council and the organisation.
  • Support internal stakeholders in the planning, preparation, production, and distribution of digital content.
  • Plan, build and publish articles and posts for multiple audiences including supporting the management of a variety of content plans.
  • Plan, write, edit, and distribute a range of online content including social media posts and website content for a variety of channels and platforms along with Council's enewsletters by working with internal stakeholders to ensure messages are factual, appropriate, consistent, coordinated and in line with the priorities of Council and the organisation.
  • Ensure that content is factual, appropriate, consistent and in line with the priorities of Council and the organisation.
  • Ensure Council's enewsletters encourage interactivity, accessibility and deliver a clear message to the target audience.
  • Assist with the development of content for print and digital advertising.
  • Review content to ensure consistency with Council's branding and corporate identity and align with its values.
  • Arrange and take photographs for Council's external communications and ensure all images are uploaded and managed within the system appropriately.

Key skills and experience you'll bring to the role:

  • Qualifications or demonstrated experience in digital media, design or graphic media, or communications or a similar field.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering a wide range of high quality visual and multimedia content for a range of digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines to a high standard of accuracy and consistency within timelines and budget.
  • Advanced technical skills in the Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign as well as experience with social media management platforms, CMS and EDM software.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish networks and effectively liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
