Who are we?


The NDIS Partners in the Community Program (PITC) supports the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to be implemented at a local level.


As a NDIA partner, Northcott will deliver the NDIS Early Childhood Approach (ECA) service to local communities in Northern NSW, Mid North Coast, Hunter New England, and Western Sydney.

The EC approach supports the activities that will improve independence and social participation of children aged 0-9 years with developmental delay and/or disability.


What does this role look like on a daily basis?


The key focus of our Early Childhood First Nations Community Coordinator will be to work with First Nations children with disability and developmental delay; and their families; to determine the best supports for their improved independence, social participation and quality of life.

Connect with the local community to build networks and pathways that build inclusion opportunities for First Nations children with disability and their families to access Early Childhood Services.


The essential requirements we would like you to have, are:

  • Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
  • Experience engaging with First Nations people to understand what their needs are and experience providing support to First Nations families.
  • Knowledge of developmental milestones for children age 09 years
  • A reference from an Aboriginal Organisation, Corporation or Community Elders Group.
  • Confirmation of Aboriginality with common seal.
  • Experience in connecting and building working relationships with local community and mainstream services.
  • Ability to promote a culturally safe work environment.
  • Ability to share knowledge of significant dates for First Nations people with the wider Team.

Other requirements to work at Northcott include:

  • Current Driver's Licence
  • P1 minimum
  • Valid Working with Children's Check Clearance mandatory
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDIS WC) or willingness to obtain mandatory
  • Working Rights in Australia for Full Time Employment
  • Fully vaccinated (including boosters) as per Northcott requirements
  • Successful preemployment probity check

This role will cover our Western Sydney region, with our Northcott offices based at Seven Hills and North Parramatta.
