Taxation Advisory Officer

  • Temporary parttime opportunity, four days per week for up to 12 months
  • Parramatta location with flexible and hybrid working options available.
  • Clerk Grade Level 3/4. Base salary $60,794 p.a. to $66,569 prorata p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the team
The Legal and Professional Services division provides expert legal, taxation, financial planning, and genealogy services to customers across the entire agency

About the role
The Taxation Advisory Officer provides support to deliver high quality, timely and customer focused advice and service to clients.

This is an exciting opportunity that will see you:

  • Provide taxation advice to clients and staff of NSWTG in a concise manner
  • Prepare complex taxation returns relating to NSWTG's trustee and financial management services
  • Work closely with Advisory Officers to ensure advice is appropriately implemented
  • Communicate with the Australian Taxation Office to resolve delays and issues
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and identifying process gaps and risks

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting or taxation
  • Extensive experience in preparing taxation returns for deceased estates, trusts and individuals
  • A broad knowledge of taxation law provisions relating to individuals, deceased estates, testamentary trusts and other trusts
  • Welldeveloped written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to express complex taxation concepts in an easytounderstand manner
  • The ability to work collaboratively with other divisions within NSWTG to deliver customer service excellence

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Taxation or equivalent experience (Taxation roles).
  • All roles in NSWTG require a willingness to have phone calls monitored for quality and training purposes.
  • Up to date COVID19 vaccination status and able to provide acceptable proof
