Our Client is seeking a Merchandise Assistant to support the Category Managers at an Administration level in their role of Strategic planning to maximise programming, web and catalogue opportunities.


The Merchandise Assistant is responsible for the administrative support to the Category Managers including product set up, purchase order entry and follow up, OTB maintenance, programming, internal and external partner communication.

In the absence of the Category Manager the Merchandise Assistant takes on the responsibility of the Category Manager.

The Merchandise Assistant works within the Merchandise Team and liaises and interacts with various other internal partners as well as external partners to ensure the success of the category.


You will have:

  • Great written and verbal skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Can work within a team
  • Intermediate /Advanced Excel and Word literacy
  • Ability to be flexible
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced everchanging environment with ease.
  • Strong decision making skills and accurate
  • Selfdisciplined enough to work in a relatively relaxed culture, autonomously while being held accountable

  • Ensuring all administrative tasks are completed timely and accurately
  • Ensuring all internal and external partners are communicated with accurately and timely
  • Customer Focus
  • Web Maintenance
