About the role

The Strategic Communications team works with WorkSafe's business units and leaders to plan and develop communications to support strategic objectives and organisational change. As Manager, Strategic Communications, you will work closely with the Director, Communications, the Manager of Corporate and Internal Communications, WorkSafe's program and project managers, change partners and other key stakeholders.

You will be responsible for the delivery of effective communications that align with broader strategic and organisational objectives, to internal and some external stakeholders. You will;

  • Lead the development and implementation of communications strategies for projects requiring organisational change, including WorkSafe's Strategy.
  • Work collaboratively across the business to ensure the delivery of fully integrated communications materials and consistent messaging.
  • Provide communications advice and prepare significant and complex written material for senior leaders for a range of purposes, audiences and objectives.
  • Manage the workflow of the Strategic Communications team, guiding the development of communications material in range of digital and written formats to suit various stakeholder needs.

About you

You have extensive experience collaborating with senior leaders and project teams to deliver impactful communications strategies that support change. You have strong leadership skills and are able to deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced and dynamic organisation. You will bring;

  • A strong strategic planning capabilities and the ability to think creatively to engage audiences on complex subject matter.
  • An ability to build strong relationships, with highly developed influencing and negotiation skills and a solid track record for providing communications advice to senior executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines and communications objectives to achieve the best outcome for the organisation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent working knowledge of a large range of digital and face-to-face engagement tools and techniques.
