About the Opportunity

  • Full-time permanent Support coordinator role working 38 hrs per week (Monday to Friday).
  • Required to work from North Parramatta office and as needed from Leichhardt and Campbelltown sites with Flexibility to WFH and travel expenses reimbursed
  • SCHADS 4.1 plus salary packaging up to $18,550 plus Super

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants to achieve their goals. Focused on delivering Support Coordination to NDIS participants, including providing capacity building support for engaging necessary supports in line with their NDIS Plan.

What you need to succeed:

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or higher qualifications in disability/community services/social sciences/allied health with equivalent knowledge/experience.

Experience:

  • Knowledge of Disability Inclusion Act 2014, Disability Service Standards, and NDIS Act 2013;
  • Understanding of the complex needs of individuals with disability and their families/carers/nominees;
  • Experience in contemporary disability support models;
  • Fluency in a community language is advantageous;
  • Experience in person-centered approaches supporting individual choice and control;
  • Experience with First Nations and culturally diverse backgrounds beneficial;
  • Able to establish partnerships and achieve desired outcomes;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, client databases, report writing, time management, and record-keeping.

Mandatory requirements:

  • Current driver's license and willingness to use own vehicle for work-related travel;
  • Flexibility to work and travel within metro Sydney;
  • First Aid Certificate;
  • NSW Working with Children Check;
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
