Your opportunity

Strategic WHS Leadership & Governance:

  • Champion the development and execution of national WHS objectives, strategic plans, and initiatives, ensuring consistency across all project sites.
  • Establish and enforce highlevel safety standards, regulations, and procedures to foster a culture of safety and sustainability in alignment with the company's ethos.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of WHS management systems, guaranteeing compliance with the ISO 45001 standard, Australian/NZ WHS regulations, and sustainable practices.

Safety & Sustainability:

  • Direct construction activities to embody our 'People Protecting People' WHS philosophy and ensure integration with Scentre Group's sustainability goals.
  • Lead sustainable WHS practices at the functional level, setting benchmarks for environmental responsibility within construction operations.
  • Drive collaboration with crossfunctional teams and external partners to achieve excellence in WHS management that is consistent with strategic project plans.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as the key WHS representative in communications with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
  • Cultivate a network of strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring WHS strategies are transparent, wellcommunicated, and effectively implemented.

Safety Culture & Leadership:

  • Elevate the D&C safety culture, embedding excellence and collaboration, while promoting the 'People Protecting People' agenda.
  • Lead the mindset shift in safety first mindset, endorsing accountability and continuous improvement.

National Compliance Oversight & Performance Reporting:

  • Ensure national adherence to WHS legal frameworks, including ISO 45001 and Australian/NZ WHS regulations.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting on WHS performance metrics, incident reports, safety statistics, and compliance assessments to the DD&C senior leadership and relevant stakeholders, including external stakeholders.
