Full-Time Work Health & Safety Business Partner Position

  • Hours: 35 hours per week

Your Opportunity as a Work Health & Safety Business Partner

Join our WHS team in a vital role as a Work Health & Safety Business Partner, where you will collaborate with the WHS & Wellbeing Team Leader to ensure top-notch WHS support, advice, and expertise within your domain. Your main responsibilities will involve spotting trends in workplace safety, addressing hazards, incidents, and risks, and aiding in the development and implementation of risk management strategies. By partnering with managers and staff, you will play a key role in promoting a safe and healthy work environment across our national locations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support business units in enhancing safety performance through practical solutions implementation
  • Aid in identifying corrective measures from incidents, risk management, and compliance assurance activities
  • Review online incident reports for compliance standards
  • Prompt reporting of safety hazards and incidents
  • Offer expert guidance for effective risk control implementation
  • Apply WHS legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards effectively
  • Coach internal stakeholders on creating a safety culture
  • Develop and conduct WHS training programs
  • Perform health & safety audits, identify risks, and report findings

Requirements for Success

  • Minimum Diploma in WHS
  • At least 5 years of WHS experience, preferably across multiple jurisdictions
  • Non-profit background is advantageous
  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis and ICAM is preferred
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Valid driver's license
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment is a plus
  • Occasional interstate travel may be required

Prior to employment, a national police history check, qualifications, and reference checks are mandatory.
