About your new role


We are seeking permanent Community Support Workers to provide high quality in-home and community support services to frail older people and younger people with a disability and their carers.

If you are interested in people, are committed, have a willingness to learn and have a caring nature, this may be the opportunity for you You will work an average of 5-7 hours each day over a 4 or 5-day week, Monday to Friday.

Our hours are flexible so you can choose what works best for you.

Duties:

As a Community Support Worker your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Assist clients to remain independent with the physical tasks of daily living, including personal care, home care, respite care, assistance with shopping and meal preparation.
  • Provide services in a professional and client focused manner.
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, trainings and mentoring program.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Mandatory qualification: Certificate III in Individual Support, Home and Community Care and/or Aged Care Work, or Certificate IV in Disability (must have completed personal care modules) or Diploma of Nursing
  • Prior experience in providing inhome support
  • Kindness, care and great communication skills
  • Sound, practical understanding of clientfocussed service delivery

Mandatory Requirements that you will need for this role are:

  • Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID 012 (previous 004)
  • Current CPR HLTAID 00
  • Current Working with Children's Check Card
  • Victorian Drivers Licence and VicRoads licence verification
  • Use of own roadworthy, registered and insured car during hours of duty
  • A preemployment medical check
