The position
In this position, you will mentor and support the roles within the Child, Youth and Family Services team.

The role requires the ability to perform client facing services whilst guiding and developing team members professionally, enhancing their capacity to deliver outstanding, safe and quality services to clients.


  • Responsibilities of the role (not limited to):_
  • Performing client facing services, including counselling and support, advocacy and workshop facilitation
  • Providing mentoring and coaching support strategies to team members, and facilitating regular constructive feedback and performance sessions
  • Submitting and approving budgets within delegation and in consultation with Executive Child, Youth and Family Services to contribute to the effective delivery of contracts
  • Reporting, documenting and ensuring effective communication updates with Executive Child, Youth and Family Services

About You:

  • Minimum Qualifications:_
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Mental Health (Psychology, Social Work, Counselling)
  • Minimum of 3 years counselling experience
  • National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
  • Current Driver's License and reliable vehicle
  • Proof of eligibility to work in Australia and COVID19 vaccination status will be required
  • Preferred Experience:_
  • Demonstrated experience in a mental health leadership role
  • Substantial counselling experience working with youth, adults and families
  • Welldeveloped IT skills, with experience using Microsoft products and databases.
