Job Description:

Knowledge and experience required:

  • Desirable experience in project management, communications, and graphic design
  • Proven track record in creating high-quality written content for diverse platforms
  • Capability in managing procurement contracts
  • Understanding the significance of workplace diversity for enhancing organizational performance
  • Ability to handle substantial workloads and conflicting priorities effectively
  • Experience in engaging with stakeholders, both internally and externally, including industry, research bodies, and universities
  • Interest or experience in biosecurity and/or science fields is advantageous

Skills and capabilities:

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills tailored to different audiences and platforms
  • Strong project management skills, strategic thinking, and proactive problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and data communication skills

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Australian citizenship is a must for employment with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry
  • Baseline Vetting security clearance is necessary for this role
  • Successful completion of pre-employment checks including National Police Check and referee assessments
