EOI - Head of Special Education Services (H01) - Longreach State School - Special Education Program Education (Organisation site ) Central Queensland Region, Early Childhood and State Schools Division We are currently seeking applications for a temporary full-time Head of Special Education Services (HOSES) to work within a cluster position based at Longreach State School.
This role services a number of Central Western Queensland Schools including Longreach School of Distance Education and small schools.This role is offered from 08 July 2024 until 06 December 2024, unless otherwise determined, and will require travel at certain times.
This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

About Longreach State School Longreach State School caters for children from Prep to Year Six.
In addition to core Literacy and Numeracy, all students explore subjects such as Science, History, Studies of Society and Environment, Visual Arts, Music and Health and Physical Education.
Our school also boasts facilities such as electronic whiteboards, i Pads, a computer lab in each block, as well as specialised music rooms, a state of the art e Learning centre, a school hall, kitchens for cooking, a design workshop, and extensive teacher resources.
Outside we have well-kept sporting grounds and multiple undercover play areas that support our sun safe policies.Our passionate staff also provide lunchtime activities such as yoga, chess, poetry reading, arts and crafts, paper plane making, sports development and choir.
Our school vision is 'Preparing our Students for the Future'About the Role Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program.
Lead and manage the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.
Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
