Our philosophy is when women support each other, incredible things happen.


Our on-site Haberdashery Thrift Shop is our community's primary source of funding and aids us in our sustainable goal of diverting materials from landfill.

Stocked with low-cost, high-quality resources it allows us to redistribute these donated and reclaimed materials back into our community and provide everyone with the opportunity to create.

This allows our customers to reinvent these rescued materials, and breathe new life into them through their handmade living projects.

**You will be responsible for:
- *
  • Driving and increasing sales for the Haberdashery, ensuring consistency, operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and compliance with all Nest Community policies and procedures. You will work closely with volunteers to support the community delivery of the social enterprise operation.
  • Designing and ensuring clever merchandising and display, maintenance of the shop's online marketing and promotional activities (Facebook, Instagram primarily), to support sales and great customer service practices.
  • You will train, assist and direct your volunteers and a small team of community leaders to meet our sales targets.
  • Human resourcing and rostering
  • Supporting the integration of community programs
  • Work with the CEO to Identify grant opportunities
  • Work with the CEO to drive key partnership opportunities that could be leveraged to grow social enterprise profitability
**You will need:
- *
  • Strong knowledge of craft, resources, equipment, and making things by hand.
  • Experience in managing retail stores preferably fabric, yarn, or craft supplies and/or highvolume retail.
  • Proven ability to track store sales performance and drive the team toward meeting sales targets.
  • Proven people and operational management skills with a focus on the ability to enable people as well as training and coaching.
  • Demonstrated experience in visual merchandising and stock control.
  • A strong customer service focus, and a commitment to the value of relationship development.
  • Enjoy and be keen to work as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
  • Evidence of sound organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and plan to achieve targets.
  • Computer literacy, with the capacity to learn new software and systems.
  • Personal understanding of the volunteer experience.
**Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Retail Management/Visual Merchandising, relevant tertiary education, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
