The Company
This manufacturing business is continuing to experience strong organic growth, further securing their position as a top food manufacturer within their sector.
As such, there is also a greater focus on ensuring operational excellence and driving efficiencies through better planning and understanding of their plant & equipment.
As part of this focus they have a need for a Maintenance Planner to join their team based in the western suburbs of Sydney.
The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager your will be responsible for:
- Planning weekly maintenance activities through the CMMS system.
- Driving maintenance improvements by implementing new systems and strategies.
- Preparing and project managing major plant shutdowns.
- Proactively engage with relevant stakeholders primarily being maintenance trades and production to ensure preventative maintenance tasks are carried out in full and in a timely manner.
- You will also be responsible for driving improvements in their long term maintenance plans and providing visibility of overall equipment effectiveness.
Your Background
In order to be successful in this role you will:
- Be a degree qualified engineer either mechanical or electrical, or come from a trades background.
- Have proven experience within a large and complex food, pharmaceutical or packaging manufacturing business as a maintenance planner.
- Have a proven background of implementing and managing a CMMS system ideally Mex, Maximo or SAP.
- Proven experience developing a preventative maintenance environment.
