About the role


Reporting into the Decarbonisation Manager, you will be responsible for designing and driving practical, fit for purpose, decarbonisation outcomes that deliver value for MinRes shareholders and the business.

We are looking for someone who champions sustainability and climate change who can thrive in a high performance work culture.


  • Strengthens MinRes' climate strategy, risk, opportunity and resilience assessment.
  • Models and maintains MinRes' Net Zero Emissions Roadmap.
  • Provides internal leadership on emerging trends, frameworks, national and international standards, industry benchmarks, regulatory or legislative changes, and issues in the mining sector to help the Company maintain competitive advantage and adopt new business opportunities.
  • Enhance business alignment to the Task Force on Climate-Rated Financial Disclosure (TCFD).
  • Delivers companywide decarbonisation reporting and analytics.
  • Builds and maintains comprehensive knowledge of decarbonisation initiatives conducted across the business.
  • Supports sustainability reporting and analysis to ensure key monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines are achieved.
  • Supports external sustainability assurance and compliance processes.
  • Assists in the delivery of climate change related questionnaires and requests from key stakeholders.
  • Maintains MinRes' carbon offset strategy and carbon pricing model.

What you'll bring to the team

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Engineering or similar.
  • Track record of success and achievement, project managing sustainability related initiatives.
  • Understanding of environmental, economic, social and governance trends within the mining industry.
  • Experience working with energy/ mining or consulting sectors.
  • Strong research skills and ability to analyse and interpret data to create reports.
