The Business

GenusPlus Group is an end to end service provider of power and communications infrastructure to customers in resources, power, utilities and communications sectors across Australia.

We have entered into a Joint Venture with Acciona to deliver the Humelink Project in NSW.

HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission line which will connect Wagga Wagga, Bannaby and Maragle.

It is one of the state's largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 360 km of proposed new transmission lines, and new or upgraded infrastructure at three locations.


To meet our future energy demands, Australia needs to transition to a greater mix of low-emission renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar.

HumeLink will deliver a cheaper, more reliable and more sustainable grid by increasing the amount of renewable energy that can be delivered across the national electricity grid, helping to transition Australia to a low carbon future.


The Role

Genus is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our team in the Sydney CBD to deliver quality in accounts payable, account reconciliation, general financial and administrative support in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.


Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • 3way matching of PO, delivery docket and invoice.
  • Obtain internal approval for invoices.
  • Receipt invoices in the accounting system.
  • Ensure vendor payments are within payment terms.
  • Provide remittance advice to vendors.
  • Ensure GST is processed correctly for all payments.

Essential Skills / Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience, ideally within the engineering/construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience of working collaboratively and influencing across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively within required timeline.
