Overview
Great short term contract role available for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer. Perfect opportunity to increase your exposure in a large client, accounts payable team. Immediate start at $39.82 p/h in Port Macquarie.
Primary Purpose of the Position
The Accounts Payable Officer assists the Accounts Payable Team Leader with the processing and payment of a large volume of invoices to meet weekly and monthly deadlines, weekly payment runs, reconciliation and reporting.
Key accountabilities/responsibilities
- Payment of all company invoices on time, accurately and within company terms.
- Adherence to the Securities of Payment Act (NSW).
- Reconciliation of monthly creditor statements within agreed timeframes.
- Maintenance of Vendor records including system changes as required.
- Liaison with vendors as required.
- Perform internal control checks on new vendors including ABN, Bank details etc
- Assist in the processing of purchase cards on a monthly basis.
- Monitor adherence to company purchase card policy.
- Monthly reconciliation of telephone and electricity accounts.
- Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customer
- Preparation of correspondence regarding creditor matters.
- Filing and archiving of Creditor records.
- Assist in any other matter as requested by your direct supervisor, Chief Financial Officer or Director Corporate Performance.
