The Opportunity


Entrepreneurial, optimistic, and energetic, Ramsay has a vision to become
a leader in digital health care - and that's why we need a new Data Officer to help pave the way.


Joining our tightly knit and newly established Data and Insights team, the Data Officer will be responsible for the analysis of the data stored in systems to establish common data definitions, eliminate unplanned redundancy in data, and protect data from misuse and destruction.


Key Accountabilities

  • Design and deliver training to staff of Ramsay Australia to raise awareness of data management best practices
  • Work closely with the Data Architect and participate in data architecture and integration activities to ensure consistency and accuracy across Ramsay Australia
  • Provide support for Privacy Impact Assessments and Privacy Review
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure data privacy and security in all aspects of organisational operations

About You


To be successful, you will have demonstrated experience in data analysis and hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

You will be a positive, results driven person who enjoys being part of a vibrant, collaborative team

Your Essential Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Data Management and/or Data Governance field
  • Understanding of data processing technology like databases, data warehouse and visualisation tools
  • Ability to work in a low maturity data landscape to help it mature over time
  • Demonstrated experience working across various stages of the data lifecycle, on premises or on the cloud

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience within a health care setting
  • Knowledge of cloud data platforms like Google BigQuery and information security for cloud
  • Prior experience in implementing data protection policies, assisting with Private Impact Assessment and conducting privacy audits
