Data Center Technician, Technical Infrastructure

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience working with one of the following: servers, hard drives, network switches, firmware and relevant diagnostics, performance tests, Linux, lowlevel software.
- Ability to lift/move 50lbs of equipment, work on platforms, ladders and under raised floors.
- Ability to work nonstandard hours including working weekends, holidays, and shiftbased schedules.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with hardware architecture, maintenance, and repair.
- Experience working with and troubleshooting hardware/network related issues using Linux based tools.
- Experience working on data center servers and networking hardware, with an understanding of the infrastructure.
- Knowledge of networking, topology, and protocol.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, as needed.
- Excellent Linux installation, systems administration, and troubleshooting skills.

- Contribute to and lead efforts/projects in the deployment, maintenance, and support of current and new data center infrastructure.
- Lead and resolve critical or escalated technical issues regarding affected equipment.
- Test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs.
- Configure and troubleshoot Linux OS related issues on our servers. Participate actively in oncall rotations to support our data center infrastructure, which may include occasional after hours, weekends, and national holiday shift work.
- Lead and take part in the development of processes and documentation for new areas of work or knowledge. Mentor, train, and guide new team members.
