Senior API Engineer

Build API's in C# using AWS API Gateway - experience must include SOAP/REST API Builds, Lambda/Serverless, API Gateway, CloudFormation and C#/.NET.


In this role you will play a key part in a major integration project, where you will build up solutions to integrate and migrate into AWS.


Most of these apps are based in C#/.NET so experience with this on an at least intermediate level is key.


These apps will have the capacity to handle 500,000 to 1,000,000 requests per year, so even though the traffic isn't gargantuan, it is sizeable.


Must have skills/experience:

  • AWS, specifically API Gateway, Lambda, Serverless, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, EC2, S3 and RDS
  • The other key skill is the ability and experience to build SOAP API's, as most of the existing API's have followed this model, so as well as knowing how to build REST API's, the ability to build SOAP API's is just as critical
  • Experience with Microservices and Serverless architecture are also a must have to be sucessful in this role

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in the healthtech or healthcare domain or with healthcare data
  • AWS security


This is very much a software engineering role with heavy AWS backend usage and C#/.NET, so even though it may sound extremely DevOps-ey, there is more skill required on the 'Dev' than the 'Ops' side of things.


2 days in the office/hybrid model - many team members have young families so they are extremely flexible with commitments etc.
